• Swing Bed

The Swing Bed program was established for hospitals to provide patients with continued  need for short term skilled nursing care ( IV antibiotics, wound care, etc..) or rehabilitation service ( Physical Therapy) following an acute care (hospital) qualifying  stay. During your stay you will be cared for by our hospitalist team.


In order for patients to qualify for this program the RAMC Team would review health information provided to determine if they meet the requirements or skill for the Swing Bed Program, and then obtain authorization from your insurance company. 


The goal of this program is to provide optimal care so you are able to return home safely or to provide a bridge between the Swing Bed stay to a skilled nursing home.
