• Lactation / Breastfeeding Support

The RAMC Birth Center is pleased to provide outstanding breastfeeding support for you and your newborn.

Every nurse on our unit has received special training in assisting family to establish a positive start to breastfeeding their infants. In addition, we have several IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants) and CLCs (Certified Lactation Counselors) on staff to further provide you with assistance in any situation, answer questions, and follow up with you after discharge.

If you are unsure about breastfeeding and would like to talk to us more about it before you deliver, please call us. We will answer your questions and share resources to help you feel confident about your decisions. You can leave a message for our IBCLCs at 608-768-6135, or speak to someone immediately by calling the Birth Center at 608-768-6251.
