A diabetes diagnosis can be difficult to handle, with many more questions than answers. Reedsburg Area Medical Center is here to provide you and your family the support you deserve.
For more information please call 608-524-6477.
RAMC’s Physicians Group has a Medicare Certified (through the American Diabetes Association) Diabetes Self-Management Education program.
This program allows people with diabetes in and around the Reedsburg area increased access to high quality diabetes education services.
NOTE - The Integrated Diabetes Care Program is currently on hold. If you are interested in participating in this program in the future, please call Betsy VanEtten at 608-768-6141. She will call you when the next program date is announced.
Unlike many healthcare facilities in the country, RAMC has brought together an entire team of healthcare professionals to create a unique, individualized approach to diabetes care.
Every member of the team has the same goal – patient-centered, individualized care with a navigation-type approach to help you every step of the way.
Six, 1.5-hour Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEED) workshops are offered to program participants and their families (or other support member). They are led by certified peer facilitators and focus on key topics, like:
The next Diabetes Integrated Care Program can accommodate just 50 RAMC patients. (Currently, space is available to join). If you’re interested in learning more, you’re encouraged to call soon. Betsy VanEtten, the referral/scheduling coordinator, can be reached at 608-768-6141.
