RAMC’s cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs help you take an active role in managing your heart and lung conditions. Both programs follow the same structure, which includes exercise, education and a support network. Medicare and most private insurance companies acknowledge cardiac & pulmonary rehab as a covered service, co-pays and deductible may apply.
For more information on either program call 608-768-6250.
The goal of the program is to improve a participants’ health and help them manage conditions through individualized exercise and strength training that is at a proper intensity, duration and progression.
As with the cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs, a physician’s referral is required. However, the Phase 2 ½ program is not reimbursable by insurance and is therefore self-pay.
High blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist or abnormal cholesterol levels – having just one of these conditions can contribute to your risk of serious disease. Together, these symptoms are even riskier and form a condition called metabolic syndrome, often a precursor to heart disease and stroke. Aggressive lifestyle changes can delay or derail the onset of serious diseases.
