• COVID-19 (Coronavirus) TESTING

COVID-19 Testing is Offered for Patients with Symptoms in RAMC Physicians Group Walk-In Care.

The specifics:

  • We do not offer testing if no symptoms are present, even if there has been exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID. We do not offer travel testing or return to work testing.

  • Patients with symptoms will be evaluated by a Walk-In Care provider and a COVID-19 test will be given if the provider feels it is appropriate. Walk-In Care does not require appointments and patients are served on a first-come, first-served basis.
(Please follow this link for more information about Walk-in Care.)

Process for patients with symptoms coming to Walk-in Care:
     - Patients come into the Physicians Group entrance and check in at North Registration.
     - Patients will be immediately roomed in Walk-In Care if rooms are available.
     - If rooms are not available, the patient will be given a beeper (if they do not have a cell phone) and asked to wait in their vehicle.
     - When Walk-in Care is ready for the patient, the patient will be called on their cell phone or the beeper will activate. The patient will then come into the clinic and be roomed.

  • Patient must have active symptoms. Symptoms of COVID-19 include: cough, fever of 100 degrees or more, chills, sore throat, headache, fatigue, muscle aches, loss of smell, loss of taste or change in taste, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose, shortness of breath.

  • This is NOT an antibody test and will not tell you if you previously had COVID-19.

If at any time patients experience extreme shortness of breath or extreme difficulty breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion or inability to arouse, bluish lips or feel extremely ill, please go to the emergency room, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please call ahead so we can prepare for patient’s arrival. 608-524-6487.
