Reedsburg Area Medical Center Physical Therapist Mary Emerson recently received the McKenzie Spine Certification. The McKenzie Method employs physical therapy and motion to decrease pain that originates in the spine. It utilizes exercises in a specific direction to help alleviate pain symptoms. Currently there are only 38 providers in the state of Wisconsin that are certified McKenzie providers.
RAMC Physical Therapist Amy Brown recently received her clinical specialist certification in orthopedics. Amy is one of only 68 orthopedic clinical specialists in physical therapy in the state of Wisconsin. To obtain this certification Amy had to complete 2,000 hours of orthopedic physical therapy and successfully complete a rigorous written examination demonstrating her specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency. Amy holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
