A Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) is a registered nurse with advanced preparation in both nursing and midwifery. The term midwife means “with women” and has a strong philosophy aimed at individualized care and support of women through life transitions.
CNMs offer women special skills and an understanding of their unique physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Nurse-Midwifery care focuses on maintaining health and encouraging women to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
